Thank you for choosing SwiftSearch for Algolia. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being fully transparent about how data flows between your WordPress website, visitors, and the Algolia search engine.

Data Processing & Architecture

SwiftSearch for Algolia connects your WordPress site directly to your Algolia application. The plugin processes and transmits data strictly to provide search functionality:

• Content Indexing: When you initiate an index or update published content, the plugin sends your public posts, pages, WooCommerce products, taxonomy terms, prices, permalinks, and designated custom meta attributes to your Algolia index via secure HTTPS REST requests.
• Search Queries: In frontend InstantSearch mode, search keywords entered by visitors are sent directly from their web browser to Algolia's global Distributed Search Network (DSN) servers using your read-only Search-Only API Key. Queries never pass through or burden your WordPress MySQL database.
• No Personal Data: SwiftSearch for Algolia never indexes customer passwords, payment information, billing details, personal identifiable information (PII), or private unpublished content.

Third-Party Services (Algolia Inc.)

Data synchronized to your Algolia indices is stored and hosted on Algolia's infrastructure in accordance with your chosen region and plan. Algolia's collection, processing, and retention of data are governed by the Algolia Privacy Policy and Algolia Terms of Service.

Security Commitment & Credential Storage

Loopstates does not store, intercept, or proxy your Algolia API credentials on our servers. All credentials (Application ID, Admin API Key, Search-Only API Key) are stored exclusively in your local WordPress database within the wp_options table. We strictly adhere to security best practices by never exposing your Admin API Key to the browser; only the public, read-only Search-Only API key is localized to frontend scripts.
